The Member of Parliament for Afigya Kwabre North Constituency in the Ashanti region, Mr Collins Adomako Mensah yesterday hosted the 12 best performing BECE students from his constituency at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi.
The students were treated to a lunch buffet and also had one on one interactions with the MP before departing to their various Senior High Schools on Wednesday, 10th March 2021.
The Afigya Kwabre North Lawmaker after the lunch advised the students to be of best behavior at all times.
“You are going to be the Ambassadors of Afigya Kwabre North at your various schools thus you should put out your maximum best in all fields to raise the flag of the constituency higher” he cautioned.
He therefore used the occasion to congratulate them and advised them to continue to study harder than before as they move on to their next challenge in the academic ladder.
According to him the general performance of the 2020 BECE graduates from the constituency was very impressive and thanked the teachers and officers at the District Education Service headed by the Hon. Kakari Acheamfuor for the wonderful efforts they put in always.
Mr Adomako Mensah donated unspecified amount of money each student to take care of their personal needs as they depart to school.
“I will continue to show support to you all throughout your secondary education. I am proud of you all.” he assured.
All 12 best performing students gained admission to some of the best Senior High Schools in Ghana like Prempeh College, Opoku Ware, St. Louis, Yaa Asantewaa and PRESEC Legon which is the MPs
The MP for Afigya Kwabre North Constituency was joined by the DCE and other well wishers of the constituency.
