…Of maiden edition of Ahomka Fashion Celebration week

A 35years old fashion designer at London Bridge in Cape Coast has won the  maiden edition of Ahomka Fashion Week  Celebration as the best fashion designer in the Central Region.

He won for himself, a brand new knitting machine, three months publicity on radio and television and other consolation prizes.

The event, which was conceptualized by President and Chairman of Groupe Nduom, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom late 2021, aiming at  projecting  Ghanaian fashion designers and Ghanaian fashion in the best unique way to the world.

Speaking in an  interview with Weekend Today , Mr. Ebenezer Fabir, popularly known as Mr. AB, winner of the event expressed his sincere appreciation to his clients, staff, competitors, organizer and judges for the belief   they had  in his works and the support so far.

He indicated that the event had given him some exposure, extended knowledge in fashion designing as well as an opportunity for him to network with others in the industry.

 For his part, Mr. Samuel Nana Effah Obeng who was the head of events said, the initiative had  added value to the creativity of fashion designers in the region.

 He further explained that given an opportunity to exchange thoughts with other fashion designers and leaders in the industry, had  positioned the participants to view fashion through a very unique lens. “Although the event was based on fashion, participants were taken on various field trips as part of strategies to build their capacity and brand” Mr. Obeng added. Mrs. Doris Amissah who won a brand new sewing machine and other consolation prizes as the second position also thanked the organizers for event and encouraged all fashion designers to take up the challenge in the next edition.
