Multiple-award winning Christian choral group, Harmonious Choral-Ghana, over the weekend held a Christmas concert to mark its 10th anniversary celebration, slated for October next year.
The event will be commemorated with series of activities from the choir, which will run from January till October 2017, when the grand anniversary will be climaxed with a music show.
The Christmas concert took place at the Christ the King Parish Hall in Accra on Sunday, December 11, 2016.
The guest artiste was Marten Tilstra, a renowned pianist from The Netherlands, known by his stage name as Kofi Marten.
He performed alongside the host group where they sang several foreign songs including Ghanaian tunes.
Performing also at the night was the renowned concert organist, Ibiyefiebo Harry, a Nigerian, and a product of the London Royal School of Music.
The event, which was on the theme: “Jesus, the Prince of Peace,” was chaired by the Executive Director of the Salt and Light Ministries and the Executive Chairman of the Harmonious Chorale, Rev. Dr. Joyce Rosalind Aryee.
Earlier, addressing the audience, Rev. Dr. Rosalind Joyce Aryee praised the Harmonious Chorale for their work over the years.
She was particularly excited by their achievements on the international stage, and for how well they have projected the Ghanaian choral music to the international stage.
For his part, Executive Director of the group, James Varrick Armaah, also admonished and thanked the sponsors for their support both in cash and kind.
He was hopeful that the choir would meet its numerous fans across the country.
