Top management personnel of Groupe Nduom will meet today, Wednesday January 11 to Sunday January 15, 2017 to consider results posted in 2016.
The session which is under the theme, “Gaining Dominance in 2017” will also enable management to consider opportunities and the likely challenges ahead of 2017.
According to a statement signed and issued to the media yesterday in Accra by Corporate Affairs Manager of Groupe Nduom , Mr. Richmond Duke Keelson,”the meeting will take a critical look at the Groupe’s relationship with customers; how to become more efficient and thoroughly discuss financial results in the year under review”.
The statement added: “It will also take a look at some structural changes that will include consolidating key areas, upgrading and reducing of staff among others”.
Management team members, the statement said, will take residence at the Coconut Grove Beach Resort and attend the meeting at the Conference Hall of the Nduom School of Business and Technology (NSB&T) all in Elmina in the Central Region.
At a similar strategy meeting in Elmina early last year, the statement recalled Groupe Nduom directors charged the over 50 subsidiaries to consider 2016 as the year of maximum sale of products and services.
Managers, the statement said are therefore expected to share with colleagues and directors how far they prosecuted the Groupe’s sales agenda and how they overcame challenges.
The Groupe according to the statement is expected to take cognisance of such practical and realistic assessment and work around this year’s theme to accomplish better results.
That notwithstanding, it said, “ Groupe directors are cautioning management team members to take note of the possible challenges that the new year brings and adopt accordingly in order to meet their targets”.
Despite the economic difficulties last year, the statement noted that Groupe Nduom continuously invested and demonstrated its confidence in the Ghanaian economy.
Such feats it pointed out, were achieved through the Groupe’s guiding principles of ensuring discipline, innovation and enthusiasm on the job as Groupe Nduom prides itself about its determination to be a “Best Employer”.
“Beyond profits, the Groupe wants to make sure that its employees receive pay commensurate with their performance.
The company manages a health insurance, pension and life insurance programme for its employees at no cost to them. It has also initiated a housing programme”, the statement said.
The President and Chairman of the Groupe, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, the statement hinted will reiterate at the meeting the need for all Groupe companies to meet statutory obligations including SSNIT payments, payroll taxes, company tax, VAT and Tier 3 pension payments.
Groupe Nduom has business relationships in Liberia, Cote d’Ivoire, Togo, the United Kingdom and the USA.
